  • Wellness Program: Yoga, Meditation and Workshops

This retreat is suitable for all levels of yoga experience from beginners through to those with an established yoga practice.

There will be energising and uplifting morning yoga (not too early…you are on retreat!), designed to enliven you. The sunset yoga sessions will be restorative and gentle.

We’ll explore what it means to be truly well - body, mind and soul. This is an individual journey, but we’ll collectively look at what yoga, ayurveda, psychology and other integrative practices can teach us about creating a life that is vibrant and graceful. It’s finding your own steady ground. This retreat is lighthearted…expect to have fun.

As we watch the waves on the beach, we’ll watch the waves of our own breath, the ebb and flow of thought and of sensation; we’ll remember to gently trust in the flow of life.

You will leave Shoreham better equipped to manage the stressors of daily life.

  • Lisa Mathews

Lisa is a seasoned Yoga and meditation teacher who finds her sanctuary on the edge of the rainforest in Victoria's Dandenong Ranges. Her journey has been enriched by studying under distinguished local and international teachers across diverse yogic traditions, including years of immersive experience living and serving in international ashrams. While formal training as a dancer shaped her dedicated and disciplined practice, Lisa's greatest insights continue to emerge from life itself – her most profound teacher.

As a lecturer in Yoga Philosophy and Ethics, Yin Yoga and Mentorship programs Lisa crafts transformative classes, workshops, retreats and trainings that honour the sacred dimensions of yoga. Lisa brings a holistic approach grounded in intelligent alignment principles.  Her classes flow with creative intuition and musical atunement, while her extensive background in trauma-informed yoga ensures a safe, inclusive space for all practitioners. Students often describe experiencing moments of pure magic in her classes – instances where time seems to dissolve, leading to profound embodied awareness and unexpected insights.

True to the spirit of eternal studentship, Lisa continuously explores and expands her own boundaries. Her teaching style bridges compassionate guidance with practical wisdom, meeting each student exactly where they are while gently illuminating paths for growth. This dedication to personal growth fuels her life's purpose – her ikigai – of serving as a loving, compassionate presence in service of humanity's highest good.

    Lisa Allwell

Lisa is a yoga and meditation teacher. Her classes focus on cultivating well-being and mindfulness. She has a passion for using principals of anatomical alignment to help you find a yoga practice that works perfectly for you. Lisa has developed a strong following of students who are drawn to her creative, nurturing teaching style.

You’ll participate in a light-hearted contemporary practice to balance mind, body and spirit. Life is often serious and perplexing, so Lisa’s aim is to encourage you forget about your ‘to do’ list, your issues and challenges for the duration of each yoga class.

Her favourite yoga asana is the smile, and she aims to encourage her students to strive for lightness, vitality and balance, both on and off the yoga mat. Lisa sincerely try to meet each student at where they are at in their yoga, helping them to get the most from each pose, each practice, each breath.

It’s Lisa’s clear intention that you leave this retreat feeling energised, peaceful and fabulous.
