Over 6 Months you will:
Learn how to confidently balance content and holding space. You’ll learn when to speak and be quiet while teaching.
Explore sourcing creativity from your own life.
Experience a learning environment where ideas and resources are shared with a likeminded tribe.
Connect with a community of yogis who are also interested in elevating their teaching and their life.
Come away with a newfound confidence in your capacity to create a deep experience for students and yourself.
Cultivate ideas and resources to enrich your current teaching repertoire
You will be encouraged and supported to cultivate a personal sadhana to find your own steady ground and to teach from this grounded place, no matter what is thrown your way.
You will complete this mentorship feeling confident and empowered. You have all the inspiration you need to create unique and transformational yoga classes, and way more importantly, to live a confident, heart-centred yogic life.
Some fun facts: Nine of our 2023 Graduates who were not yet teaching, went on to start yoga teaching. One graduate opened her own studio. One graduate led her first successful retreat. Graduates who were already teaching, were inspired to teach with greater depth and creativity in the way they sequence and theme their classes.
Here’s what Vickie Liew said: “Attending the Evolve Your Teaching program with Lisa Allwell and Lisa Matthews was inspirational and self-empowering, I learnt so much with our amazing mentors. There was such a wealth of wisdom and experience we could all draw from. I especially loved the journey of discovering the Mahavidyas and how I could relate to each of these Wisdom Goddesses to inspire my personal practice and my teaching of others. Sharing and connecting with a group of teachers walking the same path as me was also very special and an invaluable part of the program.” Vickie is now teaching regular classes in two studios and runs her own retreats.
And Dr Wan Yi said: This 6-month mentorship program has been immensely helpful for my yoga and personal journey. The Lisas were generous in sharing their knowledge and wisdom. The program each week was well thought out and full of inspirational fun! It was a wonderful experience having the opportunity to meet so many beautiful people who are dedicated to teach yoga and cultivate wellbeing. I would highly recommend this program to anyone who is interested. Thank you so much Lisa Allwell and Lisa Matthews for your great work and for holding this special space for seeds to germinate and grow.

The framework:
The framework for this course is the 10 Wisdom Goddesses, the Dasha Mahavidyas and the Chakra System. We will explore kriya, breathwork and meditation practices through a tantric lens with ancient and sacred roots but with modern application.
The Mahavidya teachings, have been passed directly from student to teacher through a golden thread of ancient wisdom and are only available to those with a genuine inquiry and a desire to go deeper. Is that you?
We start with Bhairavi, whose siddhi is overcoming fear. She is intensity, raw energy. She inspires us to live fully and dynamically, without shame.
Kamala is next: She represents celebration, creativity, ecstasy and bliss.
Dhumavati is the chrone archetype in this linage, representing detachment, simplicity and humanity.
Kali is the fierce goddess of total freedom, the transcendence of ego.
Tara is the ruler of speech, harnessing the great values inherent in one's word. Our power to influence and impact, our capacity to listen.
Matangi represents transcendental knowledge.
Chinamasta whose form is naked and headless brings forth clarity and perception, moving beyond the ego mind.
Baglamukhi teaches the value of absolute stillness.
Lalita Tripura Sundari invites us to live a fulfilled life, awaking our capacity to experience beauty, and abundance in our internal and external worlds.
Bhuvanesvari is the goddess of radiance with spaciousness of conciousness.

Lisa Allwell and Lisa Matthews are senior yoga teachers, collaborators and dear friends. They create and facilitate retreats, teacher trainings, workshops and mentoring programs. Their students are drawn to their creative and inspiring teaching style. They’ll share some of their secrets in this mentorship.
-
Lisa has been a dedicated student of yoga for the past 20 years and a yoga teacher for 13 years. Initially introduced to yoga through meditation, philosophy, chanting and seva (selfless service) her practice expanded to incorporate a fluid yet grounded asana practice.
Lisa served as a manager of international ashrams both in Sydney and Ganeshpuri India. Continuing her yoga studies on her return to Australia, she was handed over the reins to a boutique Yoga and Creative Dance School in Warrandyte, The Bhava Centre. Lisa lovingly owned and operated the studio for several years; guiding the direction and progress of many students through weekly classes and supporting the 300 hr Teacher Training program offered at the studio.
Honouring her deep desire to make a difference in the lives of trauma sufferers through the lens of yoga, Lisa travelled to New York to undertake Off The Mat into the World’s Yoga for Purpose, Social Change training with Sean Corne, Hala Khouri and Suzanne Sterling. On her return to Australia, Lisa was invited to join the Board of Directors of a yoga inspired Not For Profit, Yogahood Australia. Together she co-created and delivered a Trauma Informed Teacher Training to upskill volunteers in preparation for teaching in these sensitive and specialised settings.
Her qualifications include:
Yoga Alliance registered RYT 1500 Senior Teacher, EYRT 500+
Creative Dance Teacher Training at Mangala Studios, 300hrs
Light Space Yoga 200 hr Teacher Training Program Faculty Teacher; Yoga philosophy lecturer
Served as Director of Yogahood Australia
Certificates in Holistic Counselling, Life Coaching, Chair Yoga and Meditation teaching
Trauma Informed Certificate Training, Sounds True
Lisa has studied under many renowned teachers including Gurumayi Chidvilasananda and the Siddha Yoga tradition, Anusara Yoga, Embodied Flow and Sarah’s Powers Yin yoga training. An eternal student, Lisa is always adding to her skillset and is currently furthering her studies in Holistic Counselling to broaden her offering of support and for her own growth and evolution.

Lisa is a health professional who unexpectedly fell in love with yoga. She held senior public health roles in mental health, cancer, stroke and chronic illness, but traded up a focus on evidence, research and evaluation to teach yoga. Now, she encourages her students to run the yoga experiment in their own body and mind, with a sample size of one, and richly reap the rewards of their own personal research program.
Lisa established her studio, Seed Yoga + Wellness in 2017. She has created a flourishing yoga community in Blackburn. Far too many of her students to count, have gone on to study and teach yoga. This led to her mentoring emerging yoga teachers one-on-one, giving them the confidence to teach and to establish their own yoga related businesses.
Lisa has completed over 1000 hours of yoga training in a variety of yoga traditions and lineages, including Vitality Yoga, Yoga Pranala, Sattva Yoga Academy and Embodied Flow. She considers herself to be a lifelong student of yoga who continues to participate in trainings; there’s so much to be curious about in this incredible tradition of yoga!
Lisa is a former Board member of Yoga Australia (the national peak body for yoga) and has twice been nominated the Australian Ambassador to the International Yoga Festival in Rishikesh, India. She is a former Board member of Health Issues Centre at La Trobe University. She is a Level 3 Senior Yoga Teacher with Yoga Australia. She holds two bachelor degrees, in health science and arts and a post-graduate degree in education.
