Our program offers a perfect a balance of yoga, delicious local seasonal meals and awesome experiences to connect to this magical land.

There will be time and space for deeply nurturing massages and body work as well as time shared with our little community and of course, space for solitude.

You can chill by the pool, take dips in the ocean, sip herbal tea or nourishing fresh coconuts from the trees and… take as many nana naps as you feel inclined to!  

 
 

The intention for this retreat is that we connect to nature, to the simple joy of being alive in a beautiful, wholesome and natural environment. To have the time and space to create a vision for a wholehearted life. 

We'll be living in harmony with nature's rhythms in a stunning beachside setting, where simple village life meets elegant comfort. 

 

The daily schedule itself becomes a powerful teacher, offering abundant space for both active practice and peaceful restoration. By honoring our natural circadian rhythms – rising with the sun and settling with dusk – you'll discover a profound sense of alignment with the elements.
 

 

About Jasper House


Our retreat venue is the beautiful yet understated Jasper House. 

Surrounded by leafy coconut palms and ocean views, Jasper House sits on the quiet point of Hiriketiya. Nestled and tucked away on the headland, Jasper House has a degree of separation - making it perfect venue for our retreat. Only a few steps to the surf and rockpools, a short stroll to the beach cafes that line the shores of beautiful Hiriketiya. Enjoy the pristine beauty of nature and the simple luxury of open-air rooms, gorgeous views and the sounds of nature soothing you to restful sleep.  Relax by the generous pool, enjoy a cool drink in the shaded dining area.

  • Loved for its famous beginner surf break, top quality beach bars and restaurants, yoga shalas, temples, wild-life and turquoise water, Hiri is the ideal location for a retreat. Soak up the tranquillity of the village and warmth of the sun, whilst immersing yourself in the beauty this country has to offer. 

    The month of November unfolds in Hiriketiya with temperatures averaging around 29°C during the day and nights close to 21°C, blessed with occasional warm tropical showers that sweep in to refresh the air and awaken the lush landscape.

  • Flights into Colombo generally arrive in the late evening. Sri Lanka airlines have direct flights. Singapore Airlines have a brief stop over in Singapore. 

    We are pleased to confirm Lucy DeLoryn, Travel Consultant, will be available to support and assist you in booking your flights if required.  Lucy is also very happy to assist you in organising travel arrangements either prior to or following our retreat. Please reach out for further details in that regard.  

    As we are scheduled to depart on Tuesday 4th November (yes we’ll be skipping Melbourne on Cup Day!) and flights arrive into Colombo late evening/early morning on 4th/5th November, hotel accommodation and transfers close to the airport have been arranged upon arrival in Colombo for us to land and rest after the flight.  This is inclusive of your retreat package.  Accommodation will be an option of single or twin share rooms.  

    On 5th November, following breakfast, air-conditioned mini-vans will transfer us to Hiriketiya mid-morning for arrival around 2.00 pm for check in at Jasper House.  The transfer is approximately 3 hrs. You’ll have time for a swim in the gorgeous pool at Jasper House or at Hirkietiya's famous shell-shaped cove and settle into your rooms before opening circle.  

    If you would prefer to make your own way to Hirikeitya and join us on the 5th November, please let us know and we can assist with arrangements.

    *Beautiful hearty breakfasts and sumptuous early dinners will be offered.  You are most welcome to explore the incredible local cafes for lunch.

  • Do I need to book a twin/triple share with a friend:

    By all means bring a friend or family member along.  The retreat is open to guests with all levels of yoga experience.  

    If you are planning on travelling solo and would like to share a room, we will happily arrange a room share with a like-minded soul.  The rooms are very spacious and each bed has a mosquito net canopy, which creates a feeling of privacy.  Some rooms have sitting areas.  During the day, we find  guests are generally at the pool, the beach, at cafes or wandering the village.  There are shaded areas to read a book by the pool, or lounge in the sunbeds for some quiet time and space.  

    Lets talk about the meals:

    Delicious meals at Jasper House are provided by our friendly in-house chef, in our private dining/restaurant space.  The area is large and shaded - great for sitting and chatting over a cool refreshing coconut!   On-site meals will be vegetarian/vegan, in line with our theme of yogic lifestyle. The retreat menu will be specifically created to balanced wholesome and healthy food combinations.  

    Breakfasts are included your package.  They are abundant with a selection of Sri Lanka or western style cuisine.  

    Lunches are not included in your retreat package - you will find Hiriketiya is renowned for its incredible choice of healthy and delicious eateries.  We will provide a list of our favs and would love recommendations on places you discover.

    Dinners are included and again will offer a wonderful range of both Sri Lanka and western style dining options.  

    Food allergies:

    The restaurant will cater for all dietaries requirements.  Please do let us know your allergies and sensitivities when booking. I found my list of allergies and intolerances was easily accommodated for. 

    Activities:

    The hotel has a range of local experiences on offer.  You are welcome to take part in these activities during space in our timetable.  We will provide more details of these closer to the date.  

    They will also assist with additional transfers, booking of Tuk Tuks and general enquiries.  

    The hotel staff are extremely helpful and efficient.

    1. Once your online registration has come through, Lisa will send through bank account details for deposit payment.

    2. A non-refundable $800 deposit is required to secure your space upon registration. Deposit fees (less $300 administration fee) may be transferable to another new attendee found and assigned by the original attendee. 

    3. To secure your early bird rate, deposit payment must be made by 30th April 2025.

    4. The balance due for the early bird rate is payable by 30th August 2025.
      Do reach out if you require variation/extension in the payment plan.

    5. After 30th April 2025, the retreat fees increase to full payment as outlined in retreat website page.

MEET YOUR GUIDES

Lisa Matthews

Lisa is a seasoned Yoga and meditation teacher who finds her sanctuary on the edge of the rainforest in Victoria's Dandenong Ranges. Her journey has been enriched by studying under distinguished local and international teachers across diverse yogic traditions, including years of immersive experience living and serving in international ashrams. While formal training as a dancer shaped her dedicated and disciplined practice, Lisa's greatest insights continue to emerge from life itself – her most profound teacher.

  • As a lecturer in Yoga Philosophy and Ethics, Yin Yoga and Mentorship programs Lisa crafts transformative classes, workshops, retreats and trainings that honour the sacred dimensions of yoga. Lisa brings a holistic approach grounded in intelligent alignment principles.  Her classes flow with creative intuition and musical atunement, while her extensive background in trauma-informed yoga ensures a safe, inclusive space for all practitioners. Students often describe experiencing moments of pure magic in her classes – instances where time seems to dissolve, leading to profound embodied awareness and unexpected insights.

    True to the spirit of eternal studentship, Lisa continuously explores and expands her own boundaries. John Matthews

John is a senior Corporate Executive Coach and Leadership facilitator. He is a student of the human potential movement integrating work and spirituality for the upliftment of humanity.

  • I grew up in a deli in New York City where I developed a love of food and all kinds of people. Being very ill, I had a near death experience at 4 yrs old and experienced a greater reality beyond death and what we call “life”.

    My mission to understand and share what I have learned has lead me on several adventures including; working with drug addicts and mentally challenged institutionalised people, 5 yrs seminary training to become a missionary, a high school teacher, university lecturer, charismatic prayer group leader, youth minister, adult educator, national speaker in US, McKinsey Consultant, Senior Executive Coach with 11,000+ experience in the public and private sectors, the founder of an Institute and director of a publicly listed company.

    My passion is to discover the depths of Divine Love with my wife Lisa and to help you, myself, and all of us who are being called to evolve Humanity. I believe we are on the verge of creating a world more aligned with nature, the cosmos, our innermost being, and our collective consciousness and I believe we are being called to create this new world together.
